Elemental Affinities
Elemental Affinities describe the effectiveness of Super Managers in Elemental Mines. Each mine in the Elemental Continents has an associated Element. Each Super Manager has one or more associated Elements. Depending on whether the Super Manager's Elements matches the Elements of the Elemental Mine, their abilities are super effective, partially effective or not very effective.
You can see this information in each specific Super Manager's information panel in the top-right. In Elemental Mode, each Element increases or decreases the effectiveness of your Super Managers in their current Mines. All mines on the Nature Continent feature the Nature Element, all mines on the Frost Continent feature the Frost Element. For example, in Elemental Mode the Frost Continent features the Frost Element. Super Manager Aurora's Element is "Frost" and is therefore super effective in a Frost Continent Mine, but only partially effective in a Nature Continent Mine.
Unlocking additional Super Manager Elements[]
Super Managers always have at least one associated Element. But the higher the rarity of the Super Manager (common, rare, epic, legendary) the more additional Elements can be unlocked. Additional Elements are unlocked by ranking up the Super Manager using Fragments.
- Common Super Managers always have 1 Element and cannot unlock any additional ones
- Rare Super Managers can unlock a second Element at Rank 5
- Epic Super Managers can unlock a second Element at Rank 3 and a third at Rank 5
- Legendary Super Managers can unlock a second Element at Rank 1, a third at Rank 3 and a fourth at Rank 5
This means that Super Managers of higher rarity are more versatile in the Elemental Mines, as they can be super effective in more Element types at higher Ranks. For example, Super Manager Aurora's Element is "Frost" and when her Rank increases to 3, she unlocks the "Nature" Element. Now she will also be super effective in a Nature Continent Mine.
Elements and their Affinities[]
There are 8 Elements in total: Nature, Frost, Fire, Dark, Light, Wind, Earth and Water. Certain Element combinations of Mine and Super Manager do not fit together, making the Super Manager's abilities not very effective.
