The Mineshafts are one of the core features of Idle Miner Tycoon. You mine your resources (and therefore Cash) from the mineshafts. The Cash which your miners collect is stored on the left of each shaft, where it will be collected by the Elevator.
Every upgrade increases the total extraction, mining speed and worker capacity. At level 10, 50, 100, 200 and 400 each shaft also gains an additional worker. On Mainland Mines, you gain a worker at level 700 instead. The maximum amount of workers is 6. The maximum level of each mine shaft is 800.
At each level increment, you gain a "boost" (a large gain in extraction). On continent mines, you earn 2 Super Cash when reaching an increment without prestiging. If you have already prestiged on a mine, you will only gain one super cash per increment. The increments are as follows: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 300 (Event Mines, Mainland Mines and Frontier Mines do not have 300 increment), 400, 500, 600, 700, and 800.
Barriers
Every five Mineshafts, you will see a barrier blocking the next possible mineshaft.
To unlock the barrier, you can let it unlock for the amount of time it says. Alternatively you can watch ads to reduce the time, or you can use Super Cash to immediately unlock the barrier. The Mineshaft behind the barrier does not unlock after you open the barrier. You can open the next mine shaft like normal with Cash or Super Cash.
In Continental mines, the maximum number of Mineshafts is 35. To unlock shafts after Mineshaft 30, players needs to unlock the Core Barrier.
The Core Barriers requires Prestige Level 5 in the mine and a significant amount of cash compared to the previous barrier.
Trivia
- In Mainland, Event, Frontier, and Impossible Island Mines, the maximum number of shafts is 30. In Continental mines, the maximum number of shafts is 35 (as mentioned above).
- Mineshaft 31 is one of the hardest to unlock. It requires Mineshaft 30 to be fully maxed to unlock Mineshaft 31. From this point on, you will have to max the current shaft (or come close to maxing) to have enough cash for the next one.
- Mineshafts from 31 to 35 are called Core Mineshafts. Mineshaft 31 has the same background as Mineshaft 30. The rest have a yellow, sand-like background.
- Collectibles give an extraction bonus when upgraded. In addition, epics give an income bonus for the Start, Ice, Fire, and Dawn each. Legendary ones give a continental bonus, so try and choose the right collectible for the right mine.
